After an exciting and long trip to Lake Iseo, the little cousin of Lake Como and Lake Garda, Laia and Agge Priestley had a few days to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy their beautiful surroundings before getting down to business.Sunday's practice race came with the expected light winds but beautiful sunshine and clear blue waters. After a disappointing first day with no wind, competitors headed out onto the water on day two in hopes of securing good positions in the first few races.Light winds made for challenging conditions which saw one sister inside the top ten on the first day and one just outside.Light winds saw only one race taking place on Wednesday, even though the competitors were out on the lake for 5 hours, resulting in little change to the results.Thursday saw another windless day so it was all to play for on the final day with one sister still in the top ten and one just outside.Friday brought more windy conditions and an incredibly early start with boats rigged for 5:45am!After some exceptional racing there was no separating the sisters who finished in 12th and 13th place out of 42 sailors.A huge congratulations to them both and we wish them good luck in the Nationals which are taking place on the Isle of White this weekend, 12th to the 14th August.
