Membership Fees

Subscription Fess for the 2020 Season

Please see UYC Memorandum and Articles for full description of Subscriptions and charges UYC requires deposits of £100, £50 or £25 with application forms for new Family, Single or Crewing members respectively, to be offset against first year subscription fees, with effect from 1 st Jan 2020.

Annual Subscriptions


Single (Full) Members


Family Members - A couple (and their children under 19 on 1 st January.)


Student / Apprentice Members (in FT Education/training with low income between 18 and 24 on 1 st January)


Junior Members (14 to 18 on 1 st January)***


Cadet Members (under 14 on 1 st January)***


Associate Members (Single or Family Member for previous 6 years)


Sponsored Crewing Members (1 st year only)


Non-sailing Parent Membership (1 st year only)


*** Cadet and Junior Members aged 14 or 15 not within a Family membership must remain under the care of either their Parent/Guardian or other designated Full Member. Junior members between 16 and 18 on 1 st January do not require such supervision if Parent/Guardian confirms this in writing.

* All UYC boat owners, including cruisers, pay the Safety & Boat Site Fee, to be referred to in future as a Boat fee for simplicity, to offset Site and Safety Boat costs.

** When stored with another boat within an allocated space.

Reflecting the differing size, amounts of space and resources required by boats of different sizes, and the additional constraints on the site space from our growing membership, differential pricing will be applied to different sized dinghies and keelboats.

There are two bands:

Band 1. Dinghies & Keelboats up to 1.9m wide and/or up to 4.99m in length

Band 2. Dinghies & Keelboats 1.91m wide and/or over 5m in length

Note: The size of the dinghies will be measured when they are packed as they usually would be for storage in the boat park.
