Winter Storage

For those members looking to leave dinghies on site over winter, we have opened up the booking system to cover winter storage from 5pm 30th November. The booking form can be found on the Club website within the 'Book Online' section.

Please note that those members who have signed up for the Winter Series, can leave boats on site until the final race in the series.

Any boats on site after the deadline will be subject to the winter storage fee.

Under Bylaw 5(f) members wishing to leave their boats on site after 30^th November each year may do so subject to (a) payment of the Winter Storage Fee (£58 for dinghies and keelboats), and (b) completing the necessary booking paperwork via the UYC website.

If you have booked in to participate in the Winter Series, your boat will not be required to booked in for Winter Storage until after the last race in the series. If you are participating in the Winter Series and intend to leave your boat at the Club after the end of the last race, you will need to book in for Winter Storage.

Winter stored dinghies are required to be placed in the campsite area. For keelboats, the Sailing Development Manager shall advise you of the appropriate storage location.

Finally, if you are planning on leaving your boat on site over the winter, boats should be securely tied down and please check that you have the necessary insurance in place to cover outside storage during the winter season.
