Sail Camp 2024
In 2024 our Sail Camp runs from Sunday 22 th July to Friday 26th July, and is open to 8-14 year who are able to camp on site for the week and participate in sailing training and associated fun activities. Sail Camp is a wonderful opportunity for member's children to have fun, develop friendships and improve their sailing skills.
The charge for this year's Sail Camp will be £210 per child & £60 if you need to hire a boat. This year you can pay just the deposit at point of booking and full payment for boat hire and full payment will be due on Sunday 1st June 2024.
Before submitting your booking please read the following:-
1. Sail Camp is primarily for the children of members member's children will be given priority when allocating spaces.
2. Children will be expected to be able to camp in small group tents along with other children for the duration of their stay. They will be based at the Club's campsite and will usually be in groups of three or four of their own age. The camping activity provides a fantastic opportunity for children to develop friendship groups across the Club, which will help support their future participation in sailing. Please consider this carefully if your child is not comfortable camping.
3. Sail Camp is run entirely by volunteers if you are booking a child onto Sail Camp, you will need to commit to at least 12 hours of volunteer duty for each child, to take place across an 8-hour period on the Monday to Thursday of sail camp. These duties might include helping in the kitchen, cleaning or supervising the campsite and are vital for the running and enjoyment of sail camp for the children. Please consider carefully if you are able to commit the time before booking.
4. During Sail Camp, the campsite is exclusively used for Sail Campers and volunteer Sail Camp helpers. To maintain safeguarding for all of the children adults will not be able to stay at the site during Sail Camp week.
