Holiday Week, August 5 - 9, 2024
Ullswater Yacht Club is excited to announce its traditional Holiday Week from August 5 to 8. This event is open to visitors and promises a delightful mix of activities for all ages, including:
- Racing: Competitive events held in the afternoon.
- Kids' Club: Engaging activities and sailing lessons for children every morning.
- Tuition: Sailing lessons available for all skill levels.
- Leisure Sailing: Opportunities to explore Ullswater with the leisure sailing group.
- Family Fun: Water activities and entertainment throughout the day and evening.
Accommodation includes spaces for tents and campervans (no caravans) on the scenic 'Birkett field,' offering stunning views of the lake. The clubhouse will be open, providing access to changing rooms and showers. Evening meals will be available from Monday to Friday and must be pre-booked.
Monday - Curry Night - Aromatic Chicken or Vegetable Curry, Served with Rice, Naan Bread and Homemade Chutney
Tuesday - Pizza Night - Pizza Box will be at the Club
Wednesday - Greek Night - Chicken or Halloumi Wrap, With a selection of salads and dressings.
Thursday - Sausage Sizzle - Hoedown & Sausage Sizzle, includes BBQ sausage in a roll, Texas caviar.

RYA sailing courses are also available through the club's Ullswater Sailing School. These can be booked on the school's website at www.ullswatersailingschool.com
Learn to Sail with us
Sail Training Officer James Watts will be on hand all week looking after the Sailing School and ensuring everybody has a great experience. We would encourage you to book any courses you would like in advance so he can plan. Private lessons for adults can also be arranged, subject to advance booking.
RYA courses
Adults (16+) Courses
RYA Level One - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Aug 5-7.
RYA Level Two - Thursday and Friday, Aug 8 & 9.
RYA Level One and Two - Aug 5-9.
Juniors (8 to16) courses
RYA Stage One - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Aug 5-7..
RYA Stage Two - Thursday and Friday, Aug 8 & 9.

Kids Club for young sailors will be held all week - 10am till noon Monday to Friday. Bookings will open soon !!!
