Membership fees for the 2027 season

Joining Ullswater Yacht Club is easy, we have different types of membership to suit your requirements. Please complete the UYC 2027 Membership Application Form which is available to download below.

Fees are annual charges covering the period 1 st January to 31st December.
A deposit of £100 is required with each Family and Single membership application.
All other applications must be paid in full.
Payment may be made by card or cheque, please tick chosen method on the form.
Full membership fees will be invoiced via Sailing Club Manager, the club's online membership software.

Family Member (Article 5.4.2)

Is open to a single household with a maximum of two adults and any children in their guardianship under the age of 19 who have an interest in sailing.

Single Member (Article 5.4.1)

Is open to any individual aged 25 or over who is interested in the sport of sailing.

Young Adult Member (Article 5.4.3)

Is open to any individual with a interest in sailing, aged 19 or over, but has yet to attain their 25 th birthday on 1 st January 2027

Junior Member (Article 5.4.4)

Is open to any individual who at the relevant date is under the age of 19 on 1 st January 2027

Outport Member (Article 5.4.6)

Is open to any individual adult who has been a Club Member for at least six years but who is now no longer able to attend the Club regularly.

Crewing Member (Article 5.4.7)

Is open to any individual adult who is sponsored by a boat-owning Club Member. Crewing Members may only hold this category of membership in the first year of joining the Club.

Boat Permit Fees and Other Charges
Period 1 March to 30 November per boat. Boat fees include an entitlement to park a dinghy or keelboat from March - Nov or a tender for 12 months

Tier 2 - Boats >1.91m wide or >5.0m LOA where 'Length X Beam' is less than 14m2
Tier 3 - Boats where 'Length X Beam' is less than 19m2
Tier 4 - Boats where 'Length X Beam' is greater than 19m2

* Band 1 - Dinghies & Keelboats up to 1.9m wide or up to 4.99m in length
** Band 2 - Dinghies & Keelboats over 1.91m wide or between 4.99m and 6.5m in length
*** "Other Boats" are defined as any craft whose dimensions exceed those of a Band 2 boat. This is to avoid the inequity that arises when owners of small cruisers ("Cruiser" is an undefined term) pay more for storage than owners of equivalent sized or larger, keelboats and dayboats.
