2019 Calendar & Duty Roster
The 2019 Sailing Programme can now be found under Calendar tab. Members need to log in to see the full UYC programme. The listing also includes details of hospitality and entertainment and campervan Club Site/ Birkett Field dates and will be updated throughout the year. There is also important information about the new system for signing up for race office and safety boat duties in 2019 with Duty Roster in the Portal under 'Members Area'

Congratulations Claire
Congratulations to World Champion freestyle kayaker Claire O'Hara who has been awarded an MBE for services to canoeing. Her proud dad Paul is our new Commodore and she is a regular visitor to UYC when not travelling the world competing. We look forward to welcoming Claire O'Hara MBE back to the club with her daughter Sky who was born last month.

Mike Adams
It is with great sadness that we learned that Mike Adams passed away peacefully yesterday morning, Saturday 22 December. Mike was a stalwart of Ullswater Yacht Club. A dedicated club member for more than 45 years, he was involved in numerous voluntary roles including Sailing Secretary and Tempest Representative on the main Committee. Mike and Lilian spent many hours refurbishing the Committee Boat, Nina. Above all Mike was a keen competitor and an expert helmsman.

Where's Alice?
Members of Ullswater Yacht Club have appealed to the public for help in their search for Alice – an orange RIB safety boat which was stolen from the club site on the night of Thursday, November 29. Club officials discovered the theft of the Rigid Inflatable Boat, Suzuki engine and trailer on Friday morning. A safety boat shed had been broken into overnight and along with the boat, three paddleboards were also stolen from a

Sailing Club Manager (SCM) is an easy-to-use internet-based programme that Ullswater Yacht Club uses to manage its membership database, manage club subscriptions, advertise sailing and social events and communicate with its members and the outside world. Almost all of the things you need to do as a club member are managed through the UYC web site www.members.ullswateryachtclub.org
