Welcome

Looking for somewhere to sail in the Lake District?  Look no further than Ullswater, one of the most stunning lakes in the UK. We are located at the northern part of this seven-mile lake and, being only 10 minutes from the M6, we are the most accessible. Whether it's an introduction to sailing, RYA training, or competitive racing you're after, we have it all. And if you are a member of UYC you can camp for free in the club grounds.
Read more about us here.

We are delighted to announce that on March 4 we won the RYA's Club of the Year 2017 Award and in January we won Yachts and Yachting Magazine's Club of the Year 2017 Award.

She is still to undergo some finishing touches, such as her wheelhouse being clad in wood but no doubt she will become a familiar sight in 2011.

Reminder to all members
18 November 2010 (1078 reads)

A reminder that all dinghies have to be removed from the club site promptly at the end of this month, NO LATER THAN THE 28th NOVEMBER.
This winter the dinghy park is going to be reorganised, and all boats must be moved so that the new layout can be implemented.

Winter storage for your dinghy should not be a problem, but your details should be entered on the list in the club house.  Make sure your boat is
clearly marked with a sticker which you can obtain from either Bill Powton or Ian Priestley.

Any dinghies still on site after 28th November will be removed.

The recent high winds have caused havoc in the dinghy park with several boats being blown over and damaged. If you still have a boat at the club you should make every effort to either remove it from the site or ensure that it is safe and securely tied down.
